Sampad Barua
Sampad Barua is a writer and translator. He joined the post of Secretary to the Office of the President on May 12, 2016. Prior to this, he was working as Private Secretary to His Excellency the President in the rank of Secretary for more than a year. Before that, he served in various important positions in the ministry and field administration. In his illustrious career, he was working in the field administration as Magistrate, UNO, ADC and various positions in the Cabinet Department, Ministry of Local Government, Ministry of Finance, Parliament Secretariat. He was the private secretary of the Honorable Speaker of the Parliament of Bangladesh.
Sampad Barua obtained BA Honors and Masters Degree in English Literature from Chittagong University. He received an MSc degree in Public Economic Management and Finance from the University of Birmingham, UK on a government scholarship. He delivered speeches on various topics including art, literature and culture in various government training centers, universities etc. as a guest speaker. He is a life member of Bangla Academy and Bangladesh Asiatic Society.
