Frahan Ishraq
Farhan Ishraq is a poet, essayist, storywriter, editor and translator. He studied English Language and Literature at the University of Dhaka. He works mostly in Bangla and intermittently in English. He edits the literary magazine Katachamoch, a restaurant of poetry dealing mainly with contemporary Bangla poetry and its theories. To his credit, he has published thirteen volumes of poetry and a number of his literary writings from the genre of criticism and newspaper articles. His translated works, especially of poetry, appeared in some of the country’s leading dailies and literary magazines. Currently, he works at Bangla Academy as one of its Deputy Directors.
