Mainuddin Ahmed was born in 1964 in Munshiganj district. He completed his Master’s degree in Management from Dhaka University. In 1993 he joined in Bangladesh Civil Service Administration cadre as Assistant Commissioner and magistrate.  Recently he retired from service as Joint Secretary. He has four publications, two of them are local history of two Upazila where he served, and another one is regarding Modern Upazila management and the last one is regarding the work procedure of Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB).
